Philips SHN9500 Active Noise-Canceling Headphones – super comfortable and the price is right.

Philips SHN9500 Active Noise-Canceling Headphones

With the Philips SHN9500 you get up to 85% active noise cancelation with good frequency response (20Hz - 22KHz).

In addition, the cups cover your ears fully, providing an additional barrier to ambient sounds.

Plus, they are super comfortable. This is a big factor for any noise canceling headphones, because we often wear them for hours on end.

If you are taking a long flight, you want headphones that block out as much engine noise as possible, but are also comfortable. Nothing is worse than getting sweaty ears or having the headband rub on the top of your head.

Based on numerous user reviews, the Philips SHN9500 scores really well on both noise cancelation and comfort.

And it has a mute button which is great for when you need to catch an announcement or speak with someone.

If there is one area in which they can’t compete with higher priced headphones, like those from Bose, it’s the quality of the audio.

But then again, if you’re in an airplane or on the subway, the finer points of the audio experience are going to be lost anyway.

For home audio, get headphones that provide the best range and balance of sound. But for planes, trains and subways, my vote is for noise cancelation and comfort.

And the price is excellent.

The Deal: Get Philips SHN9500 Active Noise-Canceling Headphones from Amazon for just $36.99.
